LEARNING ABOUT MY SKIN AFTER CANCER

LEARNING ABOUT MY SKIN AFTER CANCER

After a tough road traveled during chemo-therapy, my skin and body had been through so much. From stretchmarks to dry skin, bruises to scars, my body was inflicted with so much during those tough years. I rose from the bottom with battle scars, but with a lot of will. I started a broad research regarding everything I didn't like about my then "current imperfections". I studied and finally was able to combat these skin conditions with research on important minerals and nutrients (specifically Dead Sea Minerals), long hours at the gym, and eating healthy delicious foods. I never realized the importance of these certain factors on my skin but years later I look back and realize how much it actually has helped.

Wonderful doctors and an extreme amount of hard work is what helped me get to where I am today, and I am thankful I was able to gain the information needed to correctly heal my skin from further damage. The knowledge I learned taught me the routine I've been doing for the past couple of years and was able to share in the form of my own skincare line of products. With this routine I have been able to minimize my scarring and keep my skin soft and nourished. Daily Body Care Routine: Morning: After waking up, I shower using the Exfoliating Shower Milk Refiner. The little beads in it wash away all dead skin cells to get your skin ready for the day. I then moisturize my skin using the Hydrating Mineral Body Lotion. I then tend to my face and nourish it with some Arianna day cream that keeps my skin moisturized, protected, and guarded from the sun as it contains SPF 18. Afternoon: Throughout the day I always make sure to have my Intensive Mineral Hand Treatment on me. Packed with powerful ingredients derived from the dead sea, it will keep your hands super soft. Nighttime: Getting home after a long day, especially during these cold winter months is always relaxing. I shower using the Ultra Exfoliating Body Treatment (Once a week, otherwise I use it only on my feet. My personal favorite is the Lavender scent!). Making sure to get my rough spots and stretch marks (for rejuvenation). I then moisturize with the Ultra Nourishing Body Butter. The butter is much thicker than the lotion used in the morning which ensures hours of moisture through the night. ?Although struggling with Dry Skin, Scars, and Stretch Marks is stressful (Trust me, I know!) It's so important to realize the causes for each one and how to remedy to make sure these concerns are well taken care of! Dead sea minerals and vitamins help to minimize and fade the appearance of a lot of skin conditions! Dry Skin: Some causes of dry skin may be not drinking enough water, the cold winter weather, or even some soaps can take the moisture right out of your skin. Leaving your skin dry can cause itchy flakes which can eventually become open cuts. So, what to look for? Ingredients like Shea Butter, Jojoba & Coconut Oil are perfect for moisturizing dry, cracked skin.
